Implementing a 1:1 iPad initative in my classroom.

I have the privilege of working in a district that started a 1:1 iPad initiative with students. This experience has brought my passion and knowledge of educational technology to a whole new level. The most rewarding part of this experience is not only seeing an increase in student engagement and performance, but also assisting fellow staff members make this transition a success. Found below are screencasts that I made highlighting two Apps/Programs that I am currently using in my classroom.
Using Nearpod has allowed me to make my lectures more engaging. Nearpod allows a teacher to "push out" the presentaion to each student's iPad. Embed in the presentation are activities that record student repsonses and send real time date back to the instructor.

By far Schoology has had the greatest impact on my class. Not only has Schoology allowed me to flip my class, but the self paced environment that it creates has allowed me to improve differentiation.
Schoology has opened up numerous learning options including, video lecturing, class disscussion boards, collaboration between students and self graded assessments.
